Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council have recently awarded the £14 million development to Avant Homes Yorkshire with the groundworks of the 4.46 – acre site to start shortly and it total is expected to be completed in 18 months’ time, which in total will create an expected 85 new jobs across the construction and sales departments.
The development will be named St Paul’s Bank and will offer a collection of highly desirable properties consisting of two, three, four and five bedrooms across nine of Avant’s signature house types, perfectly situated just five miles from Barnsley town centre.
Groundworks have recently started on the site, with the release date of the show homes expected at the start of January 2021, with homes expected to be occupied as of November 2021.
Avant Homes have contributed £226k towards a sustainable travel plan in the area, and of the 49 homes for sale 3 will be designated as affordable housing. Making the site a highly attractive area with close commuter links to Yorkshire biggest cities.
Construction re-started for Avant Homes developments as of June, Chris Coley Managing Director of Avant Homes Yorkshire said they have seen a surge in enquires as the country starts to come out of lockdown due to the recent Covid-19 pandemic.
The recent increase in the stamp duty threshold has helped, making it an ideal time to buy a new home, Avant Homes is one of the country’s leading residential property developers, currently developing 56 developments so it’s great to see parts of the construction industry picking up some normality again.
